Silicon Valley Disrupts
Silicon Valley’s innovations and market revolutions are legendary. Although it is not generally viewed as an epicenter for the energy sector like Houston or Abu Dhabi, the pace of change in “Energy Valley” is so fast it’s hard to keep up. But it cannot be ignored.
The American Energy Society conducted a comprehensive review of the Silicon Valley energy ecosystem and identified 1,465 unique energy enterprises (as of September 30, 2020), including 253 “influencers” in a variety of subsectors. This report shares insights on general trends, and provides deeper analysis of energy subsectors that are surging or falling behind. The Silicon Valley Energy Ecosystem 2020 report is an actionable resource for those who want to track the next new thing in energy. |
