Every year the American Energy Society awards an energy writer for their outstanding contribution to energy literacy.

About the award
The Energy Writer of the Year Award recognizes outstanding achievement in newspaper, magazine, online journalism or literature that furthers the understanding and progress of energy literacy. It was established in 2015, and is administered by the Editorial Board of the American Energy Society. Winners of the award do not receive any compensation for their selection.
Starting in 2023, EWOTY winners will receive their award at a ceremony hosted in Washington, D.C. A live stream video of the awards presentation (including introductory remarks from the president of the American Energy Society, Eric Vettel) will be shared via YouTube. |
